T9 does the conversion of language specific special characters (such as ä, à) for you. Simply compose the message using the respective standard character , e. g. If a word happens not to correspond to your entries, see : T9 word suggestions below.
Activate, deactivate T9 (SMS)
In order to use T9 as an input aid, you must be in the text editor: (see also p. abc Lower- ABC UPPERCASE.

Correct a word
Words that have been created using T9:
T9 word suggestions
If several options are found in the dictionary for a key sequence (a word), the most frequent one is displayed first. When the word you mean has not been recognized, the next suggestion from T9 may be correct. Repeat until the correct word is displayed.
Go word by word to the left/to the right until the required word is inverted. Deletes the letter on the left of the cursor and displays the new possible word!
Within a T9 Word, individual letters may not be edited without cancelling the T9 status first. Words that have not been created using T9: Go character by character to the left/to the right. Scroll line by line.
If the required word is not in the dictionary list, it may be written without T9 or added to the dictionary.

Spell 6SHOO Select. The last suggestion is deleted and the word may now be entered without T9 support. It is automatically added to the dictionary.

Transmission of an SMS is confirmed with Message sent!. text only indicates that the message has been transmitted to the Service Centre. If the phone was unable to send the message, a retry option is available. If this attempt also fails, check the phone number of the Service Centre.
